Spotlight On Peas: Make The Most of this Seasonal Ingredient

    In season for May: Peas

    May brings the promise of warmer, sunnier days to come, and peas are a tasty classic that are a great way to make any dish a little brighter, too. From salads to risottos to good old fashioned fish and chips, they can just as easily be the star of the show as a super side. 

    We’ve got some great handy hints and inspiration so you can discover easy (peasy) ways to celebrate our ingredient of the month.

    Store them

    Frozen peas are probably what we’d tend to think of when it comes to storing these little green gems, and it’s a great way of keeping them to hand to add to pastas and roast dinners. Fresh peas can also be kept in the fridge, however it’s best to ensure they’re kept in a bag or container, and better yet, in the crisper drawer to keep them super fresh. 

    Cook them 

    From fresh pastas and risottos to warming soups and curries, peas are so versatile, and you’ll see them in many dishes on our menu.
