Plants for Busy Bees
HelloFresh customers are often busy bees, which is one reason why they love our recipe boxes so much.I totally know the feeling when you’re so busy, that you look over at your beloved plants and realised they’re all on their last legs because you’ve not had time to think let alone water and tend to them. I come from a family where everyone seems to have a greenthumb. My dad took his sweet time, but now he’s a pro with his own vegetable patch, with chard, tomatoes and peas. He comes in with a mini handful of peas sometimes – and I mock him slightly because it’s not the most overwhelming of harvests. But I shouldn’t, I barely have a handle on the basics!
My mum recommended one of these plants for my new flat. She says: “you really can not kill these ones”. “Ahhh” I thought, “I’m sure I can”. But I was wrong. This Pin cushion cactus, Haworthia, Snake Plant, Boston Fern are amazing. Ofcourse you can’t abandon them, but they don’t need much work and they look really cool. I love a good bouquet of flowers but it can be expensive buying them all the time. So, give these a go this year and maybe by next year you’ll be ready for a vegetable patch!
