You can’t go wrong with a hearty pie in wintertime. And our chef Anushka couldn’t agree more…

“What could be more indulgent than having two classic favourites in one dish? I love creamy, cheesy potato dauphinoise (I mean what’s not to love – potatoes in a creamy sauce…tick!) and I also love how comforting and familiar cottage pie is (like a hug on a plate). So I decided to combine the two to create this super indulgent recipe. Rich mince and carrot in a tomato and red wine sauce, topped with slices of potato, covered in that luxurious creamy sauce and sprinkled with cheese. Grilled until golden and bubbling – and eaten in a matter of moments! hope you love it as much as I do.”

“I love Chicken Tikka Masala – it would be one of the courses of my 10-course death row meal (my death row meal is pretty elaborate and I’ve thought about it a lot). I also love this method of cooking chicken breast – bashed to tenderise it, coated in flour and spice and fried. So I married the two together and came up with this recipe! Perfectly cooked rice, delicious creamy spiced tikka masala sauce made using out delicious tikka paste, and tender crispy spiced chicken (which is a cheats version of fried breaded chicken) sitting on top with some delicious spring onion to garnish. I LOVE IT.”

“This recipe is a combination of some things that I love; crispy fried chicken, burger bun, cheesy parmigiana sauce, and pesto, all in one meal. Our fresh pesto is one of my favourite ingredients to work with at Hello Fresh, it’s so flavoursome and adds a real punch to this dish. I’ve added herbs to the fries to drive flavour and compliment the basil in the pesto. The fried chicken gets finished with a rich tomato sauce which then gets topped with cheese and grilled until golden. Hope you enjoy this indulgent meal!”

“I’m a massive fan of noodle soups for winter, they’re warming, delicious and have lots of different textures. This beef meatball noodle soup is inspired by the famous Vietnamese pho. It has a flavourful broth, with some lemongrass fragrance and a touch of spice. Everything needed to warm you up from within. I’ve added a special shallot topping to bring some crispiness and some extra oomph. This soup is so easy and bursts with flavour!”
