Festive Berry & Almond Smoothie Bowl
December 1, 2015Christmas is on its way! Twinkly little lights are popping up all over the place and I keep hearing Nat King Cole singing festive tunes in the distance. To get yourself in the spirit, I thought I’d share this delicious cranberry and almond smoothie bowl (with oats) – it’s all red and green on top. So, even if it does happen to be 7am, you’ll be singing jingle bells all the way to work!
How to make a festive smoothie bowl?
On of my favourite parts about this nutritious healthy breakfast snack is the Bulgarian yoghurt. But why Bulgarian? Bulgarian yoghurt has got some great live cultures including Bulgaricus combined with Acidophilous, Thermophilous & Bifidum. But if you can’t find Bulgarian yoghurt, then don’t worry Greek is also the same creamy delicious texture!
Festive Berry & Almond Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 100 ml Bulgarian yoghurt
- 40g Oats
- 40g Nuts & Cranberry Mix
Instructions:
- Cut the banana into slices and mix the bananas with the Bulgarian yogurt, oatmeal and 40ml of water in a blender.
- Pour into bowl and garnish with the nut-cranberry-mix.
