Cocktails From Around the World You Need to Try July 25, 2019
Ah, summer. As the evenings draw out, it feels like the days could go on forever.
Arguably the best thing about this season is spending the warmer nights with friends and family and enjoying good food together.
Our collection of limited edition “Street Food” recipes are made specifically with your summer plans in mind to help you celebrate the longer evenings. Since we’ve got the food covered, we thought we’d share our favourite cocktails from around the world. The perfect finishing touch for when you’re entertaining guests!

Italy: Aperol Spritz
A real taste of summer, this Italian classic is ultra-refreshing and not too sweet. Pair it with our Chicken Tikka Pizza – the perfect ‘tear and share’ for a night in with friends!
America: Mint Julep
A sip of this bourbon-based cocktail and you’ll be transported straight to Louisville, Kentucky.
Team with our Chilli Beef and Cheese on Smoky Sausage and you’ve got yourself a party.
- 65ml bourbon
- Mint leaves
- 12ml sugar syrup
- Ice, cubes and crushed
- Shake the bourbon, mint leaves and sugar syrup with ice and strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice.
- Churn gently with a long-handled spoon and top with more crushed ice.
- Garnish and serve.
India: Aam Panna Mojito
Because of its cooling properties, an aam panna is the go-to drink during an intense Indian summer. The drink is traditionally non-alcoholic, so while we’ve included rum in this recipe, you could also make this without booze for a refreshing summer drink. Try pairing with our Beef Keema Tacos for a wonderful fusion of Indian flavours.
- 1 mango
- Cumin powder
- Black salt
- Mint leaves
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp white rum
- Lemonade or soda
- Scoop out the inside of the mango. You’ll want to crush it into a pulp. You can do this with a mixer or food processor and blend to a pulp, or simply crush with your hands if you don’t mind getting a little messy!
- Add a sprinkle of cumin powder and black salt to this pulp (TIP: you can prepare the mango pulp earlier and pop it in the fridge)
- Throw mint leaves and a lemon slice into the glass and squish together with a muddler or the end of a rolling pin also works fine.
- Add ice cubes, 2 tbsp of spiced mango pulp, 1 tbsp of white rum and top with lemonade.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and mango slices.
