We’re proud to announce our recent partnership with FareShare, the UK’s biggest charity who work hard to tackle hunger and food waste. 2m tonnes of food is wasted across the food industry each year – food that’s good to eat when it’s discarded. Meanwhile, 7 million people in the UK struggle to get enough to eat (5m adults and 2m children). With the help of volunteers, FareShare sort, store and deliver surplus food locally to charities and community groups, who sign up to receive it. They also work with supermarkets and wholesalers to redistribute unsold food in smaller quantities. 

FareShare’s network of over 10,500 charities and charity groups who receive the food, turn it into meals and food parcels for vulnerable families and individuals. More than half of these organisations offer vital services and support for those in need.

From one family to another

You can help make a difference too – for every Family Friendly recipe you add to your box, we’ll provide a financial donation equivalent to the delivery of one meal for one person to families in need through our partnership with FareShare.
