  • Scissors
  • Glue or brown masking tape
  • Colouring Pens

  1. Using a pair of scissors, safely cut off the bottom half of your HelloFresh box.
  2. Cut out a tail for your elephant and attach it to the back of the box with brown masking tape.
  3. Using the card from the bottom half of your box, cut out two large ears and the elephant’s face.
  4. Tape the ears to either side of the face and then attach the head to the body with glue or tape.
  5. Decorate as you wish!

  • Scissors
  • Glue or sellotape
  • Colouring Pens

  1. Cut one half off the front of your box with a pair of scissors.
  2. For the windows, draw a template for the windows and cut out with a pair of scissors.
  3. For the roof use the inside flaps of the box. Cut them off the box and tape them together along the longer side.

  • Scissors
  • Glue/ sellotape
  • Colouring Pens
  • Straws
  • Paper fasteners

  1. Using a pen, make an outline of a square and cut it out carefully with a pair of scissors.
  2. Use this square of cardboard to cut out the buttons for your TV and attach them to the front with paper fasteners so they spin!
  3. Make a door opening at the back of the box so the kids don’t have to keep climbing in through the front (this will also help it to last longer!)
  4. Finally, for the antenna, pop two paper straws through the top of the box.

Just come across this post on upcycling your Hello Fresh box and wondered if other people also upcycle the box insulation?

I upcycled the insulation to make my Wray Village Scarecrow this year – a Charles Darwin / monkey mashup riding a dodo, with endangered pangolin.

This was part of this year’s scarecrow theme “Evolution: Existing, Endangered, Extinct” – it won 1st prize!

Darwin’s monkey body and the dodo’s body was made of Hello Fresh insulation!
