The Top Ten: Our Customers’ Favourite Spinach Recipes
April 4, 2019As voted for by our customers, here are the top ten spinach recipes that have been enjoyed in our boxes over the past couple of weeks.
Spinach is a popular superfood because of its rich nutritional content and delicious flavour. Popular in different cuisines across the world, spinach is a hugely popular green vegetable. Spinach’s bitter flavour is distinctive and works particularly well with dairy products and eggs. The young, greener leaves can be eaten raw in a salad, while the older leaves are usually cooked (spinach has one of the shortest cooking times of all vegetables).
Fresh Tip:
Don’t be shy with your portions when cooking spinach. Its high water content means it reduces in size by about a quarter when cooked.
