Sweet Spinach Smoothie and some FREE dates

    As you have probably already guessed from our smoothie post a while back, we are not only smoothie lovers – but we are becoming quite the smoothie connaisseurs at the Fresh Farm. Every week, the blend of nutritious ingredients expands. This week was no different. People may initially be dubious about a spinach smoothie, but there is no reason to worry. The combination of dates and spinach means that this smoothie is fresh and light but with a lovely sweetness, so you won’t feel like your drinking spinach directly (and rather worryingly) from a tin like Popeye did. That would DEFINITELY be against health and safefty nowadays.

    Here is the recipe written out – to make it easier to follow.

    Spinach smoothie recipe

    Ingredients:

    • 2 handfuls of ice
    • 2 handfuls of fresh spinach
    • 2 bananas
    • 1 handful of fresh blueberries
    • 1 handful oats
    • 2 heaped tbsp of plain yoghurt
    • 3 pitted dates
    • (add almond milk, water OR milk if you want a looser more fluid smoothie)

    Method:

    1. Add all the ingredients to your mixer in the order listed above
    2. Blend & enjoy!
