How To Make Homemade Vegan Energy Balls

    Containing just 6 ingredients, these delicious no-bake vegan energy balls are my go to when I’m looking for a pick me up and my fridge is always stocked them. You can add hemp powder if you want to boost the protein kick, making them a great thing to snack on pre or post workout.

    Ready in minutes, minimal washing up, and packed with delicious energising ingredients, we recommend making a big batch of all three and snacking on them through the week. Refrigerate for up to a week.

     

    3 Vegan Energy Ball Recipes

    1. No-Bake Oatmeal Cookie Energy Bites

    Ingredients:

    • 170 g oats
    • 40 g chopped pecans
    • 170 g honey
    • 60 g dark chocolate chips
    • 60 g dried cranberries
    • 125 g peanut butter
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon coconut flour
    • (Some extra chocolate chips, pecans and cranberries for decoration)

    Method:

    1. Grind up your nuts blender and transfer into a mixing bowl.
    2. Add your oats, chocolate chips, dried cranberries, cinnamon and mix together.
    3. Next add your peanut butter. Stir again.
    4. Finally, Add in your vanilla extract and honey a little bit a time. Mixing between pours. Adjust the amount of honey you use depending batter’s thickness. You might need more or less. Mix again
    5. Before rolling, chill batter in fridge for 20 minutes. That way it’s easier to roll later.
    6. Roll into 1-1.5 inch balls and place on cookie tray or plastic ware with parchment paper underneath.
    7. Let them freeze for 20-30 minutes then transfer into a Ziploc bag.

    2. Coconut & Raspberry Energy Balls

    Ingredients:

    • 100 g frozen raspberries
    • 10 medjool dates without seeds
    • 150 g cashew nuts
    • 200 g desiccated coconut
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • Pinch of salt
    • (Some extra raspberries, dates desiccated coconut for decoration)

    Method:

    1. Place the ingredients into your food processor and pulse at high speed until the mixture is broken down, well combined and sticking together.
    2. Use your hands to shape the mixture into balls.

    3. Raw Brownie Energy Balls

    Ingredients:

    • 65 g almond flour
    • 30 g protein powder
    • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 2 tablespoons almond butter
    • 2 agave syrup
    • 2 tablespoons almond milk (or coconut milk)
    • (Some extra almonds and cocoa powder for decoration)

    Method:

    1. Mix all of the ingredients in a small mixing bowl until evenly combined
    2. If it seems too dry, add a bit more almond milk (it should be similar to cookie dough)
    3. Roll 1 tablespoon of dough into a smooth ball and place on parchment paper
    4. Repeat until the dough is gone, then eat or let them chill in the fridge
