by Trisha Our Stories

I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but for today’s Daily Yay, you’ve got to draw something. Even if you’ve never drawn before, grab a pencil and a piece of paper and go wild and don’t forget to share your drawings using our hashtag #DailyYay, we’ll share the best one! Today’s the day to pick up that pencil again and do a little sketch… get your imagination working and create something with your hands.

To get some inspiration from the professionals, here are our absolute favourite illustrators. Don’t worry, we’re not at all expecting anyone to be as good as them, but a bit of inspiration never hurt!

    1. Claudine O’Sullivan

[columns_row width=”half”] [column]claudine-osullivan-3[/column] [column] We absolutely adore Claudine’s colourful illustrations and cheeky portraits of animals. She’s based in London, but she’s originally Irish. She’s so lovely she even drew this just for the Daily Yay to inspire all of you guys to draw something yourself. Give it a like on our Instagram page to show Claudine some love. [/column] [/columns_row]

    2. Rob Hodgeson

[columns_row width=”half”] [column]download[/column] [column]What the team at the Fresh Farm so adores about Rob’s illustrations is their playful nature. Every one tells a mini story for us. Rob’s from the seaside but nowadays he spend his time in Bristol where he says he’s mainly “making a mess and turning it into illustration projects and books.” His influences range from Picasso and John Cage to The Beach Boys.[/column] [/columns_row]

Matt founded his very own studio called Jolly Awesome and his illustrations and prints have made a name for themselves around the world. Our favourite thing about his work, is the witty wordplay! Definitely worth checking out – and if you’re looking for some lovely prints for your kitchen, these might be just the ticket.

    4. Ella Masters

Ella Masters is a London based illustrator with a love for female like Mel Stringer, Tuesday Bassem and Julia Potts. She gets her inspiration from funny moments and  tattooists. And one of her favourite things to do is to just go out into the world and draw, listen to people’s conversations and enjoy creating. We adore the personalities that come across in her work![/column] [/columns_row]
