What most of them will be hunting out, is a sugar fix, be it in the form of a light squishy doughnut, or a slice of indulgent chocolate cheesecake. For those in the know, Oxford Circus and its Central Line neighbours is one of the sweetest spots in London, home to some of the best dessert places in London.
After extensive research (we needed to make sure all the treats were delicious enough for you), we have put together a shortlist of our favourite dessert places in London. So next time you’re in London, trade in sightseeing for taste-testing!

Crosstown Doughnuts
Once you’ve battled your way along London’s Oxford Street, you’ll have worked up an appetite bigger that your shopping spree bill. Head straight to Crosstown in Soho, a bakery selling ‘hybrid’ sourdough doughnuts that are out of this world. Doughnut take our word for it – go and taste for yourself!

Cutter & Squidge
This is the holy grail of the much-hyped and Instagram-famous ‘biskie’, a blissful three way cross between a biscuit, cookie and a cake. Stop by for their heavenly pistachio roseberry biskie filled with pistachio buttercream and raspberry rose jam, decorated with a pistachio edge and meringe petals. In store from 18th April.

Yauatcha
The beautiful and brightly coloured patisserie at Yautcha is almost too pretty to eat. Almost. Most people come for the delicious dim sum, but those with the inside scoop, order straight from the dessert menu. Push the boat out and order your dessert with an oolong tea infused cha la lai cocktails.

Hubbard & Bell, The Hoxton Hotel
When you settle into The Hoxton Hotel’s laid back restaurant, you might not be able to leave. Come here for a pre-theatre (Shaftesbury Avenue is just around the corner) pick me up and order their ridiculiously delicious Salted Caramel Pretzel Cheesecake.

The Canvas Cafe
Freakshakes get a vegan makeover at this awesome little cafe just off Brick Lane. Homemade vegan raspberry and beetroot ice cream blended with almond milk, and topped with whipped soya cream and raw raspberry and beetroot cakes…who said you can’t have your cake and eat it!?

If you find yourself lost in Shoreditch, fear not, waffles are around the corner. And these aren’t just any ordinary waffles.
